This kit includes a generous amount of roasted malts, including chocolate malt, Carafa II, crystal 60, and roasted barley. These malts impart deep roasted coffee, chocolate, and caramel flavors to the beer. The oats add a smooth and creamy mouthfeel, as well as a hint of nuttiness.
It also includes a blend of hops that were carefully selected to complement the roasted malt flavors. The hops add a subtle bitterness and hop flavor to the beer, without overpowering the maltiness.
We include two packets of English Ale yeast to make sure the beer ferments cleanly. English ale yeasts produces a clean and malty flavor profile, with low to medium hop bitterness.
